Royal Cornwall Show Wadebridge Cornwall

So once again will be at the Royal Cornwall Show Wadebridge from the 5th - 7th June 2014. This event is fun for all the family with a huge range of stands and activities to choose from.

We have had two fantastic shows, we had to return for a third year. We're hoping to be even bigger and better than before. Watch this space for news on our plans.

The County Show is the biggest event in Cornwall's calendar. It has something for everyone, young and old, two legged, or four!

One of last years most popular attractions was 'Titan the Robot', everyone said he was simply 'awesome', whether you were young or old. As detailed on their website, Titan brings a blend of comedy, street theatre and music to create a unique show. We are very much hoping he returns next year to cheer up us during the event.

Once again the RAF Falcon Parachute Display Team dropped into the show ground right about our heads. We had a fantastic view of the RAF Falcons as the wind direction brought them right over our stand.

The Cornish Food & Farming Pavillion is perfectly situated just round the corner from us. Last year we regularly sampled lunch from the Cornish Curry Company, which was much needed in the bracing weather. Our friends at Helsett Farm (we have two of their holiday cottages, Helsett Farm & Ostlers) produce fantastic organic ice cream, which we hope we'll need in the wonderful weather we've order for the week. If you've never sampled Healey's Cornish Cyder, then you quite simply haven't lived! We'd recommend you take a bundle or two of Cornish Asparagus from Tregassow Farm home with you, and you're not allowed out of the show ground without having a Rodda's cream tea!

For those of you who can't spend the whole afternoon in the Skinners tent, Tregothnan will keep you refreshed throughout your visit. They were the first producer of tea in the UK. We were lucky enough to have a pop-up stand at the end of our row last year, perfectly placed for viewing of the main ring, combined with Rodda's they serve a cracking cream tea. They have plenty of holiday cottages for you to choose from in Coombe, as well as a fantastic property on The Lizard called Gwendreath.

The Flower Tent is another firm favourite, with local exhibitors as well as those further afield. We just about allow those from Devon, for example Lifton Farm. They also have a wonderful Farm Shop just off the A30, as well as a restaurant, so a great place to break the journey home the long drive home from Cornwall.

If you're looking for some lovely self catering accommodation near the event do visit our website, specifically paying attention to the Atlantic Coast region, towns including Wadebridge, Padstow and St Breock.  However if you fancy a property in the North Cornwall region, the show ground is also within easy reach.  If you've already booked accommodation in other areas of Cornwall do not dispair, Royal Cornwall Show is still very much accessible but do ask for some local knowledge on what times are best to drive and which routes. The Show is very popular and you could get held up in traffic.
